Program in Basic Islamic Studies

 

The aim of the department is to produce knowledge based on the basic sources of Islam, to share the knowledge produced with the society, to address the subjects in the field at academic level and to make them teaching subjects. In all areas of Islamic thought, there is always a great need for research that takes academic attitude as a principle in order to produce accurate religious knowledge by using basic sources. The Program consists of eight departments: Qur’anic Exegesis, Qur’anic Recitation, Hadith, Islamic Jurisprudence, Kalam, History of Islamic Sects, Sufism, and Arabic Language and Rhetoric.
